Classical Music CD.......2005-08-12

Very poor analog to digital conversion. I have the record as well, same recording, sounds so much better. I would have sent this back, but just not worth the effort and cost.

Great compilation.......2000-03-24

This one of the best compilations available and is excelent for both the casual and expert classical music listener. Two pieces are slightly diferent than most versions: The Ride of the Valkyries, which includes the original soprano's voices (instead of the instrumental version most directors do) and 1812 overture, with a chorus introduction instead of the string chorale. It's specially frightening when you hear the sopranos in Wagner. The Bolero is particularly well played: a continous, perfectly balanced crescendo. It also includes the famous interpretation of Beethoven's 5th (1rst movement), the spectacular Great Gate of Kiev and the 3rd movement of Saint-Saens 3rd symphony. Excellent buy.
