Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Great jazzy syncopation for long distances in your car.......1998-12-31

When I first heard this CD, I thought: "This is awfully elementary--good jazzy tunes, considerable repetition, all four movements are allegros--this is probably only good for one or two listenings."

Not so! Surprisingly, it's turned out to be one of my favorite CDs, so full of great jazzy syncopation that you can't stop your foot from stomping. Perfect for those long trips on the interstate to keep you hummin'!

Wayne's music is not profound, and he has a weak sense of structure, but this is more than made up for by his sense of beat, melody, and drama.

Highly recommended.
