Great Classical Radio on CD!.......2005-05-31

For the past twenty years or so, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation has presented "Disc Drive" with host Jurgen Gothe every weekday afternoon...and through the genius of their radio relay system, it comes on at 3pm, no matter where you are in Canada. Fortunately, CBC Radio Two can now be heard online, for those of us who prefer it to the pitiful classical radio - what little of it there is - here in the States. In any case, this is a 75-minute slice of "Disc Drive", complete with Mr. Gothe's erudite and witty conversation, lots of great music, the familiar opening and closing themes, and even a meow if you listen carefully. This disc is a must for anyone who loves classical music presented by a knowledgeable, conversational host. Classical radio does not get any better than "Disc Drive"!
