I just picked up Johnathan Kuss's first EP, "The Anxiety of Influence Sessions." Wow, I am impressed.
This 3 track disc starts off with the blazing radio-friendly power-pop "Superficial". The catchy melody and lyrics drive this great song. I'm convinced that we'll all be hearing this one soon.
Next is "Everything Glitters." A slower, heartfelt tune that smacks of the passion that Johnathan feels for the song.
"Feels Like Hell" finishes off the CD. It brings you in with the slower-tempo beginning, but by the end, is just as rocking as "Superficial"
"The Anxiety of Influence Sessions" is a well-rounded, well-crafted piece of work that has earned its way into my regular CD rotation with it's foot-tapping power-pop and catchy lyrics.
