Reger Organ Works.......2006-11-05

This disc and the other one shipped with it arrived in a badly mangled outer package, with the plastic covers for both discs badly cracked. I promptly reported this on a return e-mail, but have never heard a further word about adjustment. Not a good experience, overall. It's very frustrating for an 85-year-ood man to spend this amount of money and to be unable to elicit any kind of response to a serious damage report. Thanks.

Great stuff!.......2000-09-29

I really like this CD. Hell, it's partly what motivated me to get up and learn Japanese! Heh, the music got me hooked on JPop, and it got to a point where I just had to know what I was singing along to. I recommend this album very highly, it's got a nice uptempo feel, and it'll put you in a good mood whenever you're feeling down.

I had always been one to think that Asian pop was for, well...Asians. Then in steps this album. While I was living in Singapore, a local friend of mine introduced me to their music saying, " If you like dance music, this one is very nice." NICE!?!? Its so cool. The lyrics, although largely in Japanese with convienient English phrases to suggest meaning are incredibly peppy and upbeat. It is impossible to stay in a bad mood while listening to this music. It combines a very fast dance beat with almost addictive lyrics. Though I do not understand it, I sing along because eventually, you just begin to parrot the sounds. I highly recommend this album to anyone who listens to pop or dance music. Although some of the sounds are different, it is pure fun to listen to. Seriously, buy this album, it got me hooked on J-pop..oh ya, Melissa, if you ever see this, thank you!!

Happy, dancy Jpop music..........2000-06-16

Being an american who does not speak more than 10 words of Japanese, I bought this album on the strength of it's sound. It is very happy, high energy, dancy pop. Not the sort of thing I normally listen to, but the Max girls have terrific voices which can be treated like another instrument even if you can't understand the words. Fans of happy, high energy dance club style music are sure to enjoy this if they don't mind listening to Japanese lyrics. The only annoying thing about this album is that the second disc of the set is a CD 3" which my car CD player is not equipped to play. This is not too much of a problem, however, if you have a CD burner and some good CD writing software.

Dance beat - Great J-pop.......2002-10-13

This is fun J-Pop. Thier CD Maximum II is classic J-pop at its best. This CD is almost as good. Track 12 'Ride on Time' is arguably even better than anything on Maximum II. It is IMHO. If your into J-pop I'd get this one. If dance isn't your thing you might consider these other Japanese artists:

Hitomi - Alternative Rock (Really sexy voice)
Aikawa Nanase - Rock (Rock 'n Roll & Ballads)
Every Little Thing - Rock / Pop (from cute to edgy - almost punk)
Hikaru Utada - R&B / Pop (Nice breathy voice with big emotion)
Hamasaki Ayumi - Pop (mostly ballads and some remix dance stuff)

I purchased this cd sometime ago, and it is one I definitely find playing in my cd player almost every time. This Cd is good ( although my fave is their second one Maximum II) anyone who wants to get into jpop should definitely give Max a try you won't be disappointed
