Book Description

Louis Poessel's unique blend of science fiction combined with snippets from his personal experiences take the reader into a world of fantasy, yet possibility. Possessing a broad background in the agric-business industry, he often uses it as the backdrop for his vivid imagination. He has traveled extensively and interjects knowledge of the corporate atmosphere. Reaching from his rural roots, he understands and is able to convey the effects of man on his environment. Readers will be carried into a world where anything can and usually does happen. His second writing deals with phenomena that most people have experienced but few can explain. The ghostly shadows seen at the edge of vision that dart across an empty room can only be described as Shadow People. Follow these mysterious creatures that seem to originate in the world of dreams and invade our reality. Are they friend or foe? Only those who dare to confront them know the truth of Shadow People: Spectators or Participants?

I procured this tome hoping that it would help me on a paper I was writing for an anthropology class. What false drivel. Not only was it the smallest of all the books I ordered, it was the most expensive. Then I received it and found it to read like an episode of Goosebumps. If you are looking for anthropological information about shadow people, look elsewhere. If you are looking for an after school special in a book atan outrageous price, you won't be disappointed.

This book was very interesting, i enjoyed it very very much. the only thing i cannot understand why the Author claims that the book is only Fiction, when Shadow People really do Exist ! i have experienced shadow people since i was a child, and they have always fascinated me, that is what made me by this book, and i am waiting for other books like this one to come out. maybe the actual events are fiction, But in reality Shadow People are very very real, just like you and i are. but i really did enjoy reading this very much.

What is the real purpose of life? Where did it originate? Who or what is God? If there is a Supreme Being, who or what created him? How old is the universe? What was before the Universe? How big is the Universe? Is there intelligent life elsewhere in the cosmos? Are they friendly? Have they visited earth? Do they want to? Is there really paranormal activity? If so, what is its purpose? Can man utilize his brain to achieve alter levels of reality?

Do you want to know the answers to these questions? Many people do but are afraid to seek the answers. Centuries of training by organized religious beliefs has resulted in feelings of guilt for many when searching for answers that seem to conflict with religious beliefs. The quest for the truth is never wrong. Just as there is always more than one side to a story in a modern day courtroom, there must be more than one side to the story of mankind's history. It is said that history is written by the victors...so what really happened?

Shadow People Books are the products of the imagination of Louis Poessel. A student of the many possibilities in the unknown and unproven, Louis believes that there is much more to our existence than we realize. His stories offer the science fiction fan a different twist to the traditional and subject matter for his books and writings can be controversial.

Exploration of the unknown presents fascinating topics. Today's theories include the `string theory' as well as alternate or parallel universes. If in fact this proves to be correct, the `big bang' theory becomes an event that may be a common occurrence. What implications might it have for man and our reality? Perhaps the great distances of the cosmos are but micro measurements in a colossal system of some sort. Or maybe our universe is a microscopic system. We already know that time measured in human terms seems to be an insignificant measure when compared to whatever or whoever this system really is. Perhaps we were never meant to find answers to questions that seem beyond the scope of our understanding. Maybe life and in turn intelligent life is simply a parasite that clings to a system ever changing.

Great minds of the past have provided the basic tools of discovery. Today finding the `theory of everything' is the goal of many. Tomorrow may bring with it answers to many questions but more importantly it will bring more questions that need answers! Those who search will surely discover situations that seem impossible, but only those that dare confront the unknown will find answers in the pages of Shadow People Books.

Have you ever seen something move just out of your normal line of sight? Have you ever thought you saw a shadow of someone but no one was around? Dr. John Blakely has seen these Shadow People since he was a young boy. His Dad told him it was his imagination. His Mom told him it was a just a trick of the light. Those explanations sufficed as a child. However, as a grown man and successful psychologist, John was challenged to find a better explanation. John needed to be able to understand and explain the nature and purpose of such phenomena to himself, his patients, and his neighbours.

Shadow People: Spectators or Participants? is a chilling book. As this book quickly draws the reader in, he or she suddenly becomes aware of every shadow and every sound around him or her. This paranoia only urges the reader to connect to and rationalize along with the main character towards the truth about Shadow People. This book is entertaining enough to enjoy as a good story but contains enough reality to get the mind thinking about the potential of such phenomena.

I pulled the book out of the box, delighted it had finally arrived. It did seem...thinner...than I had anticipated, but no matter. I was sure from the desription that it would be worth the 17.95 I plunked down for it.

When my child was napping, I curled up on the couch to begin my journey.

I read. I read some more. And I suddenly realized that the 'author' has the writing skills of a fifth grader...and I may have insulted some 10 year olds by saying that.

Awful, awful book. The plot is all over the place, there's no sense of a timeline, the dialogue is SO phony, and the characters are flatter than the pages.

I haven't been so dissapointed since I found out the Tooth Fairy was leaving everyone else five bucks and I only got fifty cents.

Don't waste your money on this one...me, I'm off to the publisher's website because I think I may have a promising career ahead of me. :D
